Gisela Williams is a journalist and an urban explorer.

For more than a decade, she has traveled the globe collecting stories, profiling UTOPIAN COMMUNITIES and visionaries, and capturing the cultural zeitgeist from Berlin to Bali.

She is the European correspondent for Food & Wine and contributes to The New York Times, Elle Décor, The Financial Times, Vogue and
T Magazine, among other publications. She also co-hosts the radio show Berlin Stories for NPR.

Born in Connecticut, Gisela lived in Bali, Bermuda, and Brooklyn before moving to Madrid in 2001. Three years later she left Spain for Germany. She is now happily settled down in Germany with her husband and three children.
